Documents in IBM FileNet Content Manager contain a rich set of knowledge that can be used in Agentic AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and other Intelligent Automation use cases. Unfortunately, often documents are not yet ready for AI, especially TIFF and scanned PDF with images as well as PDF and Office documents with text and binary formatting information like titles, lists, and tables. Format and structure of these documents require them to be preprocessed before using the content in IBM Content Assistant, Agentic AI applications and RAG.

contenttransformer.ai is a pragmatic solution that is easy to implement and that works with IBM Content Assistant out-of-the-box.

  • Extract knowledge from documents: The first step is to extract the content and structure of the document, collect it and then store this as new content with the original document. The new content can be indexed for full text search, making the original document searchable.
  • Tokenize the knowledge: In a second step the text and structure of the documents are converted into vectors and stored in the Vector Database. These vectors can be used to generate enriched prompts without the need to train the model with your own data.
  • Freedom of choice: contenttransformer.ai acts as a bridge between FileNet and AI applications and is independent of the AI Framework you use, whether it is e.g., watsonx, Copilot, or ChatGPT. You have freedom of choice, providing you with a maximum of flexibility.
  • Flexible deployment: All components are provided in containers which you can deploy either on-premises in your own data center or at the hyperscaler of your choice.
  • Data Privacy & Protection: contenttransformer.ai does not depend on any SaaS services and is ideal to process documents with Personally Identifiable Information or business-sensitive data, especially in regulated industries.
