CENIT AG acquired a majority stake in ISR Information Products AG. ISR founders Bernd Rosemeyer and Manfred Merßmann remain significant shareholders of ISR AG. The participation is intended to bundle the competences of both companies in the field of document logistics and information management and to achieve a joint, strong market position.
market strength and competence in information management
Together, the companies will become market leaders in the field of information management: ISR will become part of the worldwide CENIT Group but will continue to operate under its own name. The addition “a CENIT Company” expresses the integration into the CENIT Group, the associated scale and solid capital strength. In the medium term, part of the CENIT business unit “Enterprise Information Management” (EIM) will be merged with ISR in terms of expertise and personnel.
There will be close synergies with many existing ISR business units. With around 300 experts in the field of information management, ISR will be excellently positioned as a CENIT company in the German-speaking market region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The combined portfolio will cover solutions for integrated, industry-wide document and information logistics. This includes product, service and consulting services for document and process management, customer communication and data & document analysis. In addition, the company will further expand its performance in the managed service volume business and in application management.
For ISR business units “Analytics & Insights” and “SAP Information Management”, this new partnership will have many synergy effects, but few operational impacts.
seizing opportunities together
Both companies are united in their conviction to rely on the brand “ISR Information Products AG – a CENIT Company” for further growth. “The strong identity and positioning of ISR Information Products AG provides us with an optimal basis to further development and market profiling”, says Bernd Rosemeyer, spokesman of the executive board of ISR Information Products AG.
“With this merger, we will be able to continue our success story in the field of information management on a new level. The clout of the future team of 300 experts gives us new opportunities for successful software products and customer projects,” also confirms ISR board member Manfred Merßmann.
A key objective of the merger is thus further growth through shared joint strength. André Vogt, Senior Vice President EIM at CENIT: “This partnership bundles and networks expertise and allows a clear positioning as a topic expert for information management and document logistics. Both companies contribute outstanding software solutions of their own, which we will continue to develop in the future in the interests of our customers, enrich with cloud and AI technology and network into holistic solutions. Our joint expertise will contribute to becoming #1 in document logistics and information management in the German-speaking region.”
For the future, the joint strategy is to maintain and expand existing partnerships between the two companies. In addition, ISR and CENIT want to consciously pass on the advantages of the joint technical expertise to their customers and drive sustainable digitization forward.
