Real-time production reporting with SAP Business Data Cloud

The project’s starting point is a heterogeneous system landscape for production reporting that includes various solutions, such as Qlik, as well as a database that has been only partially integrated to date. The goal of the project is to demonstrate the capabilities of the SAP Business Data Cloud for building an integrated live production reporting system and to establish a future-proof reporting architecture. Particular emphasis is placed on providing a high degree of self-service for SEW’s individual legal entities.

As part of the project, a governance framework—including a solution design—was developed for the SAP Business Data Cloud. In addition, a data model for production reporting was designed using China as a case study, and a corresponding reference data model was implemented. ISR also provided support for the implementation of live reporting in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including the integration of a shop floor visualization.
