The project aims to replace a legacy on-premises SAP BW landscape and define a future-proof target architecture for data and analytics. A key challenge is the lack of a holistic view of project-related data from both structured and unstructured sources. Additionally, there is a need for intelligent, context-aware information delivery for sales and project managers.

To implement this, a comprehensive data and analytics roadmap was developed, including a target architecture and transformation path for SAP BW. In addition, the SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP Datasphere) was established as the central data platform. As part of the “Project Data Lake” pilot project, the use of Agentic AI on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) was also designed to intelligently link and analyze project-related data. Large Language Models (LLMs) and existing front ends such as SAP Joule are used to provide seamless access to relevant information.
