This project highlights the migration of an Oracle database to the advanced platform of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud. Through the implementation of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud, a decentralized solution was transformed into a centralized platform. This enables an efficient combination of governance requirements with the necessary flexibility for users concerning data modeling and visualization.

CHALLENGE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • SAP Datasphere is deployed by this company as a central platform for enterprise self-service.
  • In a country subsidiary, the existing reporting system is based on an Oracle-based data warehouse.
  • As part of the project, SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud were to be implemented as the new platform for the country subsidiary's reporting system.

SOLUTIONS

  • ISR assists the client with the implementation of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • To this end, the requirements of the country subsidiary were analyzed, and a solution design in SAP Datasphere was derived.
  • Through a coaching approach, the employees of the country subsidiary were enabled to migrate the reporting system and local data warehouse to SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Selected applications were jointly migrated in this process.
