Crash Course on Data Fabric – A Field Report on Performance Enhancement in a Modern Hybrid IT Architecture
VONOVIA uses SAP BW, SQL databases, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake for reporting. There was a lack of good integration between SAP and non-SAP systems as well as metadata management. SAP Datasphere addresses this issue and takes on the role of a data fabric layer. SAP Datasphere thus plays a central role in the modernization of SAP data and analytics systems and the integration of hybrid IT architecture. However, the path to the current solution architecture almost led to the abolition of SAP Datasphere. How did this happen? Why are we still relying on SAP Datasphere and what are the advantages of doing so? In our presentation, we will share with you the experiences VONOVIA has gained in various projects and answer these and other questions.

ESPRESSO SESSION
Integrated SAC Predictive Dashboards for sales and inventory data: A standardized solution based on real customer projects
Based on our customers' requirements for a fast and integrated solution, we developed our standardized "Sales Forecast" in SAC. The solution offers precise forecasts for sales figures at the product group and item level and can also respond to individual influencing factors. Data analysis and model creation are performed in R and visualized in a SAC story. In our Espresso Session, you will learn how you too can use this solution.
