For several years now, the ISR team has consistently included around 15-20 student employees. As motivated young professionals, they are an important part of our company and we often offer them permanent positions after they graduate.
We are looking for strong and motivated individuals for all ISR business areas and at all our locations throughout Germany who are willing to develop their skills with us over the course of their professional lives.
Your opportunities to join ISR as a student
As a student of (business) information technology or a comparable degree program, you have various opportunities to join us: as an intern, a student employee, or if you are looking for a partner for your thesis or your practical phase.
A (mandatory) internship with us should last at least 3 months or be linked to student employment. This is the only way you will have the opportunity to really get to know us, our processes, and our projects and apply your knowledge in practice.
Even with a working studentposition, we are interested in a long-term collaboration. During the lecture period, you are welcome to support us for up to 20 hours per week, and even more during the lecture-free period. It is always important to us that the work is compatible with your studies. That is why your working hours can be adjusted flexibly—for example, if you have exams coming up and need additional study time.
We are also happy to supervise theses and practical phases. We look forward to receiving your unsolicited application.
Only (business) computer scientists? No!
We also regularly have student positions available in our shared services (accounting, human resources, back office, marketing). So take a look at our current job listings to see if we have anything advertised in your area of interest.
However, we would also like to encourage you to send us a speculative application. Our recruiting team will then check with the relevant departments to see what their current needs are. Your interests and skills may be a perfect fit for a current project, or there may be other opportunities we can offer you.

Which topics interest you most, what would you like to learn about at our company, and what time frame do you have in mind for your internship or student position (desired start date, duration, desired number of hours, etc.)? Feel free to include this information in your cover letter—we will also discuss it again during the personal interview.
The personal or virtual interview is the main part of the application process and always takes place with a representative from the department. This means that during the interview, you will also learn more about the tasks and projects that await you and the technologies you will be working with. On the other hand, we would like to hear from you about what you have learned so far and how you envision working with us and your professional future.

What you can expect as a student at ISR
To enable our students to network and exchange ideas with each other, we organize our ISR Student Day once a year. This takes place on a rotating basis at one of our offices and includes an introductory evening and joint work on a case study. In addition to our students, representatives from the departments and a colleague from the recruiting team always participate.
Our students are also welcome to attend all other company events (e.g., ISR annual meeting, Christmas party, summer party, ISR training, department meetings, etc.), where they will have the opportunity to talk to colleagues from other locations and teams.

When filling training positions and working student positions, we always have long-term cooperation and the possibility of permanent employment in mind.
At ISR, we are more interested in people and their skill sets than in open vacancies. That's why we are happy to work with interested career starters to develop new opportunities to expand the team in the long term and add new skills. Students and trainees are also welcome to get to know other areas of ISR in order to try out new things and get to know themselves and their abilities better.
